My fuel gauge on my car doesn't seem to work very well. This is the first time I've gotten to drive my car on a day to day basis. I put 141 miles on my car, and it would only take 4.1 gallons (it had to be full, it coughed up fuel everywhere). That comes out to 34mpg. That can't be right, although it would be nice. My speedo is correct, I checked it with my GPS, and it's only 1 mph fast. What's the deal?

If I'm not mistaken, the tank holds 12 gallons.

You are either driving downhill for a very long distance or have a serious tailwind.

The fuel tank capacity is either 15.2 or 15.3 gallons, I can't remember which one it is.
