Try Wizards Power Clean. It's hard to find a vendor but send them an email and find the nearest one, it will be well worth your time.

If they are chrome, or even aluminum, don't hesitate to use a brillo pad and coca cola, or even alum foil and coke. Never underestimate the acidic nature of cola.

You can always try Grease lightning all purpose cleaner. We used it on my wheels and they became cleaner than they've ever been. I'm sure the above choices the guys have given you are good ideas as well. A Scotch-brite pad with a good degreaser or gasoline would probably work as well.

Try some Castrol Super Clean with a scotchbrite pad.

I don't like to use anything other than car wash soap and water on my wheels, personally. If it's that bad, I would try a pressure washer -- not the kind at the local car wash, but a real one liek you would use on your house siding or something. That will take it right off I'm sure.

I work at a detailers, for the really nasty wheels we have brake dust remover, its more aggresive then castrol super clean, and wheel acid. I don't think that you can just buy this stuff at an auto parts store though.

1-Eagle 1 A2Z or Simple Green
2-Detailing Clay
3-Light polish (swirl mark remover, etc)

My three favorite wheel cleaners are P21S, Sonus, Einszett wheel cleaner
The most aggressive is the Einszett. As a matter of fact I only use Sonus or P21S every-time I wash and only use the Einszett when the wheels are real bad!Wheel Cleaners

After you clean them use some clay to get the embedded crud. Then polish with a "Paint cleaner polish" )like P21S Cleaner polish
Once they are clean "seal" them with a sealant like Klasse All In One. You can wax them but wax doesn't hold up to brake temps, and road temps.
Klasse All In One.
Do these steps and your wheels Will look great!

I've got a similar problem, but it's from streaks left behind by amourall tyre foam. used meguire's and got lauched at too. think we should be returning our meguire's to the shop?
