How can i make a ford 289--427 motor push 10,000+rpm?

Rite now im building a 418w stroker that has a 6,500-7,200rpm redline,(418w Stroker, Probe pistons, h-beam rods, 4340 hawks crank, ProTopline 215cc/56cc/2.08-1.60 valves, Comp XFI 236HR-14/.579lift/286-300dur., 1.6rr's, 28oz balncer, 80mm maf, 75mm TB, Victor 5.8l efi intake, ProComp efi distributor, Msd digital 6 with HVC coil, looking for 500+Hp) that will go in my weekend car.....

i want to build a motor or have one built that is snappy(F1 like) an can turn over 10,000-12,000+rpm more if it can, it will be mostly a race motor it can be N/A or supercharged or turbochaged, it can be a pushrod motor or a modular 4v motor or a maton motin aka 600+c.i. prosock like motor used in ford racecars...

If money was not a object how would u build a motor that would last allday long.

Make a list of parts that i would need to make up the mototor aka block ,rods, cam/cams, heads, what type of motor, etc. and list the brand names of parts an put links up if possible?
 
Probably have to NASCAR-spec it.

Go with a Bryant Racing superlight crankshaft, R302/S302 or A4 block, aluminum rods, superlight pistons..compression ratio probably around 12.5:1, a superlight flywheel, heads that flow like no tomorrow and a extremely well engineered cam. It's going to take an expert engine builder for this one. One tiny slip and you're out thousands of dollars. That's just the beginning. Might have to dry-sump it, electric fuel pump, etc..
 
I don't think it is feasable to spin it to 10,000 r.p.m. or higher and have reliability. You would have to have the lightest rotating assembly and valvetrain on the planet. Not to mention a block with some extra beefy main bearing bulkheads. Then there is the concern that the pushrods would limit the r.p.m. anyways. It is feasable on some exotic o.h.c. stuff. F-1 racing engines for instance. V-8 pushrod motors are not designed for all that r.p.m. They can probably hit those numbers for short bursts but the longevity will suffer under any length of time.
 
you would have to use a 302 a destroke it for sure. With a 3" stoke i dont think you could do that kinda of rpm, the pistons would be moving way to fast.

Valve train is the weak point. To run those kinds of rpm you would need some really stiff valve springs, very, very stable rocker assemblies not to mention some really light parts and some very light, strong valves, were talking TITANIUM parts here. I know a guy running a 4.1 stroke (424cid) in a 351W that revves 9000+rpm with steel rods. 3" stroke is very small as it is. Now F1 cars and all have less than 3" stroke, but they turn 18000+rpm
 
dont f1 cars idle at like 6k or something?


3-4k, and right now i believe they're mandated to something around 11k RPM redline but can run upwards of 15k. I read that within the next 20 years, they'll have the technology to build an engine that spins so fast that the pistons themselves will break the speed of sound inside the cylinders, and nobody knows for sure what's going to happen when that happens :eek:
 
Last I checked they redline around 24k rpms.


and btw making a thread like this is retarded. If you have to ask us to make a "parts list" on your 12k rpm motor then you clearly have no clue what it takes to get there. Threads like this hurt my head.
 
Acura race car

I don't know jack about race cars but this is the car my dad programs and machines the motors for. Heads, block, and oil pump. He says its a 3.0L v-8 that redlines at 14k. Ive seen the motor and its weird. The valve covers are the caps for the cams and same for the sump for the crank. The pic. was taken in Honda's performance building in valencia ca. Im gonna get that engine and reveal Honda's secrets, j/k.
 
Drop in a Wankel rotary engine (such as in the Mazda RX-7 and RX-8), and you can crank that puppy at 10k RPM all day long. It'll sound like an extremely pissed-off hornet, and unless you're running some boost with it, it won't do a whole lot, but you'll get the RPM speed you desire, anyway. That, and you can brag about how your engine is only like 1.6 Litres and makes 160+ horses. :D
 
I would try to find a used pro stock truck motor for 75k if your lucky, and even then it wouldn't be reliable with the solid roller cam. Looking at your profile and car domain site who is going to drive the car? No offence but with you being disabled as you are, you wont be able to handle that much power. And going along those lines you dont even have a decent car to drop a power plant like that into.
