Easy.

1. Find a spot to mount it

2. Connect 3 (or 4) wires: Positive (red), Negative (black), ignition coil negative (green), and dash lights (white)

Just like he says, 4 easy wires.

Just pick one that fits, and spot a good place to mount it. 65-66 shelby GT=-350's put it up on the Dash.

I mounted mine on the doghouse in front of the shifter.

I know that's a bit Mopar, but its less of a blindspot than the dash and doesn't block the view of the speedo or temp guage as if hose clamped to the steering column.

I had a 3" Autometer Autogage in my '65 and it only blocked an idiot light or two. Like they said, it only had four wires to hook up. My '68 has even less room, so I have a 2.5" Sun tach.

Easy to install.

My car is a Grande and other than if I have my Hoosiers on, it looks 100 percent stock inside and out. The CD Player is hidden, the amps are hidden, the tach is hidden and the guages are hidden.

For my tach, I put it in the ventilation duct on the left hand side. It fits PERFECTLY and no one ever notices it. I only use it when I'm monitoring my RPM or checking something on the highway, so it doesnt need to be in my line of vision. I shift based on ear and feel.

And my gauges are hidden in my glovebox. Mechanical oil pressure, water temp and voltage.

65sheblyclone, where did you get your Sun tach, and do you have pictures of it? also does anyone know which tach closely resembles the early shelby ones (not the ones that came in the pod with the other gauge) just the one that sat mounted on the dash.
