how do get the haze off of my taillights?

how do get the haze off of my taillights? I've tried every thing i can think of and nothing works. Please help me so i dont have to spend $300 for new ones.

3M rubbing compound, followed by some Mother's or McGuiar's plastic polish. Worked GREAT on mine.

wet sand them with 1000 grit,and then work your way to 2000 grit.....takes alot of sanding......after sanding use a good plastic(or even chrome)polish to polish them up...they will look good as new...

don't worry if they look weird just after sanding them,they won't look right until after you polish them with the polish...

ebay sells headlight kits for like $150 (and under) shipped...

that's what I did.

or Wetsanding and polishing.... both work great.

I used paint thinner on mine. They turned out ok, but it would probably look better with the wetsanding/polishing method.

I wet sanded with 1000 then 2000 as suggested and used wenol metal polish to buff it out.

They turned out pretty good.
