How do I adjust my timeing when the balancer has no markings??

I have a GT40 crate motor and the harmonic balancer has no markings on it, just one big notch in it. So how can I adjust the timeing??

Reminds me of some GM's (where you set it at 0*). Absent ideas from others, I'd set it to TDC (get it right-on - use a dial indicator) and lay down some timing tape.

I don't think they'll come out and time it fir you.

Do what Hiss suggests.

Isn't the notch in the balancer the ZERO mark??

Get a timing light with the dial on the back. All you do is turn the dial until until it reads the timing you want and then turn the distributor until the notch is aligned with the pointer.

Bought a timing light that has electric display /w advance on it. I can hit the buttoms to make it flash at 10 or 14 deg already.. and look just tdc on the balancer.
