how do i find the size of my gears?

i bought a rear end recently and i am not possitive of the size of the gear that are in it. anyone know how i can figure it out? i have the gears out of the rear end already. i have heard you can count the teeth on both and there is some math involved but you can figure it out. any help would be great thanks

count the teeth on the ring gear and divide by the teeth on the pinion gear and thats your gear ratio

Most are stamped on the ring gear also

or spin the axle 1 full turn while counting the # of turns the pinion turn....ie 3 and a half turns - 3:55's
4 and a lilltl bit would = 4:10's
3 and 3/4 would =3:73's
