Well On the 3.73s you'll probably fall in love with those. That right there is one of the best bang for the buck mods.

Honestly I think you need to go with a chambered muffler if you want the metallic sound (this coming from someone who works for Magnaflow)

I know the sound you are describing, and you wont get it from a straight through muffler-

chambered= metallic hollow sound
straight through=throaty, deep (well some of them, some are raspy)

Thats just my own observation though

To me the best sounding Mustangs have an off-road H or X pipe with either MAC or Bassani mufflers.

Hey, I know this is a really late reply, almost a month, but thanks for all the input. I know that I most ashuridly will get longtubes, a mid-pipe, and catback, but a for brands, I don't really know. Things like this require research, and it takes time, which is all I have seeing as how I don't even own a Mustang, YET. So, I am thinking BBK LTs, BBK H-Pipe, and some brand of Catback. I know that I want chamberd mufflers, like GNN60 said, and as for dumps, I am not for sure. I know Flomasters are VERY popular, but I don't want to sound like everyone else. So, maybe a Magnaflow. I have no idea. All I know is, that there are a thousand different catbacks out there, and choosing one to go w/ LT and H-pipe ca be very tough. If I go BBK LTs and H, what should I get Catback wise to get that metalic tinny sound???

Shorty headers, bassani o/r x, bassani aftercat...Very metallic sounding. Great tone. The same combos with mac aftercats I used to run on two other cars sounded like crap.

Long tubes. Power (not so much on a stock car) and you'll love the sound.

the sound your looking for: mac off road h pipe with magna packs cat back.
this is what i have on now and it's sick.
also have a set of bbk shorties but there not on the cra yet.

and just like someone suggested on page one, to have an archive of exhaust wav files.
i would contribute the sound of my setup also.

good luck.
