How do I get the steering column apart from steering box?

How do you get the flangeless style steering column apart from the steering box? I haven't been able to get it apart yet to get the column out of the car. Thanks.

lift the car atleast 2' off of the ground...sounds like you have an early '67 it's steering box and colum are one. ford had like 8 differant steering boxes in '67 soory dude... by the way I changed mine to a '69 box due to the risk if impalement on it

He is right it has to be removed as an assy,
it will only come out thru the bottom. Just a pita.
