I removed the steering column but had to hammer pretty hard to separate the steering shaft knuckle from the column. Now the lower part of the steering column has moved up about 4 inches inside the column itself. Question, how far should the end of the steering shaft extend beyond the column tube. Its about 7 1/2 inches and still short. Looking for a number to shot for. Thanks, trying to finish a 5 year restoration nightmare on a 84 Predator.
