I am just curious, how do you definitely ID an Autolite 4100 1.19 Venturi. Just curious because I think I saw one at a restoration shop. The guy claimed it came off an old Mercury.
I only know of a 1.08 and a 1.12 Venturi. How to tell the difference, I think the number translates to inches, so a dial caliper should be able to tell I'd think. In any case, a number off the carb would tell you. Check out Pony Carbs website as I think they have ID info and list numbers there.
the 1.19 autolite carbs are pretty damn rare, they were only made for a year or two. 59 and 60 i think. they are like a 650 cfm carb IIRC. it should be just like any other autolite and have the 1.19 cast into the side of the carb base plate. i tried to find one of those and wasn't able to. the guys at pony carbs said they hadn't even had one in their inventory for several years when i called about them about 5 or 6 years ago.
