I have a 1969 Mustang Coupe with standard black interior and a 2-spoke steering wheel. The emblem in the center of the steering wheel is looking ratty and I want to replace it with a new one.
How do I go about taking the old one out and placing the new one?
it's not screwed in or anything, it's just stuck into the foam part with a couple of pegs slathered in glue. If you don't care about the old one, just beat the crap out of it with something, it'll come out. Pry it out, whatever. It'll pop out sooner or later. The one on my 69 FELL out, just from the glue getting old and deteriorating. I kept having to pick it up off my floor after closing the drivers door until I finally glued it back in.
