How do I remove defroster grille from the dash

The manual says it just pops off...

I grabbed the end and started lifting on it till it started flexing and it doesn't pop out.

Is there a trick to not breaking this piece when you remove it?


Dropped a razor blade down the damn vent and it's rattling like crazy.
I got a tool that flexes and has a magnet, but I need to get in the hole.
Grille won't let me in.

Help before I go nuts and start breaking stuff.

Just out of curiousity... did you take off the dash for that?

If so, where would a razor blade dropped down the left vent most likely end up? I have no idea what the plumbing looks like.

Any ideas... suggestions when I go fishing?
