Fold rear seat backs down.
Remove 3 (I believe ) 10mm bolts ,pull rear headrest away.
The rear deck cover should just slide right out.
If not,you may need to remove the rear 1/4 window interior trim.
Remove the coat hanger with a Philips screwdriver.
Flip seat belt cover up,remove belt with a t-45 bit iirc.
Grab trim at edges,pull straight out to release a series of clips.
Careful not to break the rear defrost connector.
Now worries. That was actually going to be my next question.what paint were u going to use i saw some interior lacquer paint from latemodel that seems correct but wasn't sure. not trying to hijack ur thread just curious
I've seen plenty of Mach 460 equipped Mustangs both with and without those metal covers.
Were you able to get your piece out and painted over the weekend?I have the same problem with my car. That piece I believe is part of the entire package tray. I haven't tackled the project yet but I might this weekend if I have time. Ill let you know if I do and ill try to take pics for u as well.
