How do you set electric fan shut of point?

My fan is running so long after I shut my car off that it drains the battery down. How do I set it so it won't run so long?

If its an aftermarket one. you can adjust the thermastat control for it to let the car run a little hotter or my choice would be to wire it to a switched positive wire so it shuts off with the ignition letting the car cool down naturally.
