Sorry...yes, I meant the grille emblem. I do realize the fender snakes are factory. Thought I specified grille emblem in my post...my bad.

Competition Orange is the color unless someone said it above.

I think the 99 & 00 GT's did not come with a hood scoop. That was an addition for 2001 and up. Bullitt wheels were also new for 2001.

My 2000 GT has a raised hood scoop.(I'm not the original owner) I suppose its possible that it was swapped out but not sure why someone would go through all that trouble on an otherwise stock car unless it was in an unreported accident. Can anyone confirm this?

I can see from your Avatar that you have a Spring Edition 2000 GT which was essentially a 99 35th Anniversary with different striping. Forgot about those in my little write up. That's why you have a hood scoop. It became standard on all GT's in 2001.

40th Anniversary models (~5500 of them) came in only crimson, black, and white. They had no spoiler, Arizona Beige stripes on the hood, trunk, rockers and the spokes in the Bullit wheels were painted to match the stripes. The V6 wheels were the same as other V6's but, the inside of the spokes were painted to match the stripes. Interiors came with 4 way adjustable head rests, bullit trim ring around the shifter, bullit pedals and door locks. Last give away for a true 40th is the color matched folding side mirrors (only one ones to have them were the Cobras).

40th's could come in coupe, 'vert, auto or manual, gt or V6.

If I remember correctly, didn't the limited production 35th's have gold 35th badges on the fenders?

The "Spring Feature" GT was not an option for regular production Mustangs. MSRP at the time was $995 for the Spring Feature Pkg. Features included: Special 17 X 8 bright machined 5-spoke wheels, 35th Anniversary hood scoop & side scoops, twin black decals on each side of hood scoop with color keyed GT lettering, Bold black MUSTANG lettering in rear fascia.

The 1999 "Limited Edition" Gt had unique interior appointments as well as other exterior features over that of the "SF". The option was $2695 over a base GT.

The 99' was sold without the fog lamps in the bumper. They had a "grill" molded into the bumper where the fog lamps should be.

You can tell 99-04 Mustangs apart based on the model year they were produced

He is referring to the special edition anniversary package which was a limited run of cars with the specific options that he listed. All 04 Mustangs have the 40th anniversary fender emblem but that does not make them anniversary cars.

I've seen a few GTs around here with no fogs... Maybe just good gt clones...

They come out The car could have been hit and not had them re-installed, they could have been removed, who knows. They all came from the factory with them, though.
