How far can I advance my timing and keep it safe

I hope this makes sense and i wasnt rambling, and sorry to get off topic to the orig poster.
:Word: Sorry man, just didnt want to make a new thread of my own when theres another one of the same topic.

Spederman, THANK YOU MAN! That cleared up so many questions Ive had about this damn tuner. I got it back in November and even the mid-performance tune would ping with 93 Octane. Ive set it back to stock but now that I know how to tinker with it, I'll try to get it working for me :nice:

You might try some octane booster. That's what I did. It took a couple of tank fulls to get the octane up. Once you get that cleared up you should be able to play around with the X-Cal. Have fun. Pearl02.

that would probably work, but I dont want to have to buy octane booster every time I top off on 93. I'll just pull timing until the pinging stops. I'd rather run safe n slow than a hair quicker and potentially blow my motor. Thanks though :nice:
