I have the Saleen supercharger but am not quite sure how far I could push my car and NOT blow up anything. Anyone have any experience?

425-450 is considered the safe limit. some have gone more, some less.

Staying at or below 500rwhp seems to be the thing to do. Justin Burcham didn't blow his stock shortblock until he was close to 700. I think he missed a gear and that's when a rod decided to come out the side of the block.

As long as you have a safe tune in the car and a set of good matched injectors you should have no poblem with 450rwhp.......

Hm. Well I'm half way to that goal I guess. I just ordered my tuner and have set up a meeting with my local dyno tuner. He says about $300 for a custom tune on the dyno but I'm thinking I should get a pulley and headers first. Suggestions on where to go? My mods are in my sig.

Rouche says 420
Whipple 475
Kenne Bell 450

and I have read that you shouldnt go past 500rwtq - or you need a different clutch.

I am buying a saleen s/c this next week and plan for 450rwhp

I don't know anything about the clutch from personal experience as I have changed all of that....... I know pro-motion has a adjustable bearing that fixes the speed shifting problem. Just try it and see if it slips.

These 3-valves love timing and fuel...... I would not suggest going smaller than a 3.20" upper pulley as you will have belt slippage. I fought with that for two weekends before I was able to fix it. Basically you need twin ST Focus fuel pumps and a C&L intake pipe. I would also recommend a Diablosport Mafia for the MAF. I tried the BBK pipe and had problems so it went in the trash.

The Saleen blower has a nice flat boost curve and its only downfall is it creates a lot of heat on the top end. Just keep it below 7k
