hey guys, i was just curious, what temp does your car run at? I have stock gauges so they dont have number on them but it seems to run a little past the halfway mark? Is this normal? What temp do you guys run most of the time?

Stock gauges, I usually see it at about a straight up and down. I have noticed it takes a lot longer to reach peak temp versus the Escape I own. Difference in block perhaps?

Little to the left, I think its due to the water wetter...

I've noticed that too. Every other car I drive warms up within a few minutes, but the Mustangs' take more like 10+ minutes.

Mine is always a little to the left no matter what the temp and with AC on. It gets close to straight up if the heat is more than 100 degrees.

This is a stupid thread though, we shouldn't rely on the stock gauges to determine engine temps.

my autometer gauge reads around 200-210 constant during the summer...thats with a 50/50 mix and water wetter....without the water wetter, my car was approaching 250 in july

Either way, the stock gauge always reads the exact same from 180-250...so dont trust that thing

Straight up/down

That's in 95+ degree summer heat with the AC on full blast, and my heavy @ss foot on the pedal.

Yep, straight up and down for 6 years. I guess it's more hip than an idiot light. But - why did Ford bother ? Makes me wonder about the oil pressure gauge, too...
