I just got my car back from the body shop. I had the front and rear bumpers repainted. With my motorcycle, the painter said not to wax if for a couple of months or so, to let the paint fully dry. Is there any truth to this? Should I wait a couple of months before I wax my car?

I had to have the front bumper of a former Mustang of mine repainted and the body shop guy said not to wax it for at least one month. If your guy said to not wax it for 2 months then I would give it at least that long. They do this for a living and they should know what they are talking about. Of course, you can still wax the rest of the car, just not what you had repainted.
