So my MM C/C plates came in last night. I want to put them on tonight after work....has anyone ever put these on their own car?

About how long will it take? Or how long did it take you ?

Any suggestions or helpful hints for me about the install???

What will i need to get the install done?

thanks guys! :nice:

Rear the instructions carefully. I'm too inept, and have the attention span of a gnat so I kept zoning in and out while reading and it took longer than it should have.

Shouldn't take longer than 3-4 hours. In the steps, they didn't include unbolting the front swaybar which is necessary to drop the A-arms far enough to remove the struts.

99+ is cake, took me under an hour with a few smoke brakes as i read instructions. if you have bilsteins its faster then with stockers just slightly. the only thing you need is sockets, wrenches, and 2 drill bits. its cake.

ok guys, i need some help - pics if possible. im at my buddys house and were putting them on...but it just doesnt look right. i mean the top bolt for the strut sticks up really high, its looks weird.....are we doing sumthing wrong?

please post some pics of roughly what it should look like...also please keep the size low, as he is on 56k dial up! :(

i got to get her put back together soon, i have to drive her to school tonight....2 hours

did you measure the length of the strut bolt before installing them? it should be at the same height with the new CC plates plus extra height to compensate for the lowered amount of suspension.

EG: the origional height of the strut stud (x) will change to the new height of the stud with CC plates (Z), based on the distance the car was lowered (Y)

so Z=x+y

yeah....i'm good to go. my buddy got it all taken care of while i was out.

He was able to finish it just in time so I could make it to school on time.

I still think they look funny cuse they stick up...ohh well

so far i got my new tires, front rotors, pads and c/c plates on...

Now i just have to get the rear rotors, sub frames and SS lines up front on and bada bing im as good as gold!!!

thanks for all the help on this one SN!!!!!

:)

The lower your car, the more the top of the shaft will be exposed. That's what the spacers are for.
