You'll know it is too long when it won't come off Just kidding man. I wash mine once a week minimum and still use mothers polish on them to get what wasing won't take off. There really is no way to stop chrome wheels from wearing out if you know what I mean. Eventually they all loose their shine if you drive them. Unless you want to shrink wrap your car?
