Just picked this car up and want to drop this car at least 2". Is this possible to do for under $400?

Most springs I've found only seem to say 1.5-1.7" drop.

So,.....you wanna drop a car that's already been dropped?

That car is at its max...hell every mustang that rides that low is at its max.

As it sits, you get to deal with bumpsteer, tire rub, tire wear, and a crap ride., and you want to add to that?

Didn't realize it was already dropped. What should i look for to see how they did it? Should I be looking to add Steeda2 ball joints?

I know I need new shocks, any recommendations?

Tubular control arms-coil overs-and a mm bumpsteer kit would be a nice way to spend a good chunk of change but have an ok ride at a low ride height

Ask yourself this....WHY are there almost no springs for a 2" drop and none for more? Fox body lowering had been going on forever. You get no benefit going that low. In my opinion, 1.5" is max. But, your car so your choice. I'd at least read every single page on Maximum Motorsports website. They are the experts.

Usually, to go 2" or so properly requires a K-member with relocated A-Arm pivot points, and tubular arms, coil overs and caster/camber plates. That's nearly $2K in parts....and that's just for the front.

But, people do go low, and the car rides like a dump truck and handles like a shopping cart.

Air bag it man. Its easy on a fox. I actually priced out everything a few years ago. Make sure the nothing actually hits the ground or body when deflated or bad things can happen.

You'll still need a bump steer kit ( if one isn't on the car already ) and caster camber plates. You're also going to need adjustable shocks and struts to set it up right.

Then you can go as low as you want and still clear speed bumps and driveways.

A well built air bag system will handle well. A cheap build will handle like an 80s cadillac...or a shopping cart. Lol

Airbaggit.com used to have a kit.
