How many bulbs in the ash tray compartment

I was wondering how many bulbs are there in my ashtray compartment,i recently opened it at night and noticed that it's not as bright as before. I was thinking that there might have been 2 bulbs and one went out. My car is a 92lx 5.0.

It's a single bulb mounted right underneath the cigarette lighter.

mine stays on as long as the rest of the lights are on. is it suppose to do that? does yours?

It should come on with the rest of your interior lights as well as dim with them.

Yeah it comes on at the same time along with my headlights.

I had one in mine, it wouldnt go off, so I ended up ripping it out.

If it's not as bright as before, the plastic clip that holds the bulb to the opening for the ashtray might have come loose.

It should physically fit into the bulb's power socket, but I'm sure it won't fit into the hood/clip that fastens the bulb to the lighter socket so you'll have to find another way to hold up the bulb. I've even tried the single dome shaped LED replacement for the 194 bulb and it wouldn't fit into the hood/clip because of the 'belt' around the middle of the bulb.
