How many miles from stock fuel pump?

I just installed a new Holley (Walbro) 190 and I'm right at 170 thou. Mine was getting fairly loud, and the new one is really quiet ! I really have to listen for it to be sure it's running. It might pull a little stronger, but the peace of mind is also definately a plus. I just decided I was pressing my luck a bit with the old one.

I think mine is finally on its way out too. i got almost 138 thou on my car and its getting louder and louder and the car is hesitating really bad when it gets up to about 3k rpm. I think im going to replace it this week, now i just need to know if i should get a 190lph or spend the extra five bucks on ebay and get the 255lph. I have H/C/I plans in the future and maybe a blower so im thinkin go with the 255? they are fairly cheap i wold jsut replace it. good luck man

Mine has 128,000 and is not only loud, but if I drive the car for hours, it will stumble and buck and run like crap. I think mine is pretty much done for, and seeing as I already broke the bank this winter, why not get a 155 or so!

a lot of it would depend on things that stress the pumps. i bet you folks with tons of miles on them dont run out of gas often (pump is liquid cooled - gas). and running low on fuel is more likely to run crud through the pump. keep it topped up and they CAN last longer.

I think that has alot to do with it. Because my friends 95 Neon fuel pump went out two times within a year- But he runs it on LOW 80% of the time-

86 gt I doesn't let go under 1/4 tank- Play it safe with the miles on it.
