Hi, i need to put transfluid in my c4 tomorrow. Anybody know how much trans fluid needs to be put in? also to reseal the trans pan gasket what do i use, i believe its a special silicon but it has been a while. any help is appreciated. thanks
Im not sure of the names of all the ford tranys. If this is an auto trans then the amount of fluid you would need to put in it would depend on what was done to it to make it low. If you have to fix a trans pan leak get a trans filter kit. They are only $6 to $15 that will give you a new pan gasket and filter. The trans then should hold around 4 to 5 quarts. As far a what kind of fluid you can check with parts store or dealer and they will tell you what should go in it. Good luck and hope this helps.
