I have been doing some research and watching some videos but when its my car having the work done to it its a different story...My car is a 2013 Automatic GT and was wondering how much rwhp is safe? Its a daily driver but I don't want to blow up my engine. I have seen dynos where the car has 600+rwhp but I read forums saying you shouldn't go over 400rwhp. Just wanted to hear some opinions, thanks!

From what I've read throughout the interwebs and from magazines from MMFF and 5.0 Mustangs Magazines, the car can handle up to 600hp, but at that point expect things to wear out or break. The automatic I haven't heard as much about as the MT-82 standard transmission, but I have read that it's pretty strong. So I'd say you're good for now. There are kits out there for a C-4 auto conversion that aren't too bad expense wise. When you get into the 600HP realm you will want to put in a forged crankshaft, pistons, and rods. This is stock on the Boss 302. The parts themselves really aren't expensive, but it will be time consuming to tear down the motor and replace the stock parts with forged parts. Plus... You may need to know what you're doing . Can you get into the 600hp realm? Sure. It's been done! I'm not an expert, but I know someone that has done something similar to what you want @d98gt

Kind of an unloaded question actually. How do you intend on making this power? Turbo(s), supercharger, nitrous, all motor? Tell us your goal and we can move from there.

I have been leaning more toward Superchargers. Has anyone heard about VMP and their systems? Since its an automatic I know it will take more to make the same power as manuals.

My advice to you is to not get caught up in the dyno number game. My car at 57x ran a 10.56 @ 129 while there were a handfull of 650-715 cars there running 10.6 @ 135.

Find you a tuner that will take the time to fully dial your car in
