i'm trying to figure out if i should buy some stock 17" wheels for the front to use at the track or if i should just use my 18's. if there isn't much of a wieght difference i'll stick to what i have. i can't go smaller cause of my bullitt brakes

well not sure on difference but i just bought some 17x9 03 cobras and while taking off my 18 inch chrome bullits i could actually feel quite a difference, 17s were way lighter in my opinion, of coarse i have no actual numbers to support this

some of those weights are off in that thread.

Wags, most people still want 50-100 bucks for stock wheels. IMO, its not worth it. You won't save much weight and probably will not see any ET difference.Just spend 100-120 bucks and get some skinnies. You will gain a solid tenth with them.

Hmm. I have a pair of those 5 stars just rotting outside right now. Is there any tire I could buy for them that would hook better than my 315/35/17 BFG DR's? I've cut a best 60 of 1.79 with 'em.
