How much does your shifter move.

I always noticed that my shifter moves alot when im driving. Is it supposed do that?

A little movement is normal but if it's excessive, your tranny mount and/or motor mounts may be shot. With rubber mounts, I had about 1/4" (estimate) of movement at the shifter ball. With poly mounts, it's less than an 1/8" and probably closer to 1/16".

Also, if you have a stock shifter the rubber's probably worn out. My stock shifter was all over the place and my Tri-Ax doesn't move at all.
