How much does your Stang weigh? what things have you done to lighten it?


I have my 97gt convertible with a auto and i'm trying to figure out how much mine weighs. i took out my spare and jack.

I've always heard that the '96-'98s were about 3700lbs Convertibles weigh more though.

Brake system delete, hood and trunk lid delete, engine delete (I only race downhill yo)

pretty sure last time I wieghed (full tank and I wiegh about 180) with spare as well... 3550

Gonna re-weigh it this friday though, no spare, and near empty tank (I need to beat my PB before the seasons over, I'm going all out!)

I'm going to weigh my car before the swap back to solid axle, then again after that, then again after that when the torque arm and panhard bar are installed

mine weights 3207 with a 1 gallon of gas w/o me. it weights 3385 with me in it and 1 gallon of gas

3250#s in FULL street trim and full tank of gas.
Figured it up based on this...and at the track with me in it (the 1/4 time in sig) was 3285#s.

Ill weigh it again after the turbos and ill hope I didnt gain TOO much weight
