How much for a 03-04 GT?

Hey guys. Im leaving for Army basic training in about a week and when I get back I want to buy me a very clean, low milage(under 30k) 03-04 GT...thats if I dont go to Iraq. But my question is about how much should one cost. Ive looked thought autotrader and other car buying sites and ive seen them anywere from 15k up to 20k+. I dont want to get ripped off so what do you guys think the max I should pay for what I want. Oh and I want an auto (i know i know )...I dont want it to be the fastest thing of the road or anything...i might do a few things when i get it(exhaust,gears, etc.) and maybe supercharge or turbo it down the road. First off welcome to :SNSign:

I would say look around your area if you can(have time), maybr find a private seller. Or maybe even go to a stealership and try to talk them down. You can always look in the "for sale" section here at :SNSign:

I would say they are going for around what you said 15 to20. And I woundn't pay no more than 20 for one. And if you want to try and find a mach 1. They are not much higher than the GTs. and have 310 hp and are better looking cars in my opinion.

You should be able to find a auto Mach 1 with 40,000 miles or so in the $17K to $18K range with some looking. A auto GT with 30,000 miles or so should be do-able for around 15K.

Check the base. Usually army bases have some sort of car lot where people sell their POV's. Where are you going for BCT and AIT? You active or reserve/NG?

excellent idea, a ton of people who get deployed, dont want to have to make car and insurance payments when they are gone, so let there cars go for cheap.

Im going to BCT and AIT in Fort Leonard Wood MO, and I am going active as a 31b (military police)

03 Cobra for 20k

Where I live there is a clean white 04 cobra at a DEALERSHIP going for 20k. I would have bought it buy my wife would not let me. Atleast I have my 98 convert.

Cool. I'd chill out and wait a little bit especially being an MP. You're more than likely getting deployed as an MP and you should save the money so when you get back you can buy the car outright and possibly get a cobra instead of a lowly GT
