...no engine/trans, interior, fenders, hood, grill or radiator. The rest of the body is good, all glass in good shape..basically, a rolling shell! I found it and might offer $1500.... What would YOU pay?

Opps! Wrong forum!

Assuming you can actually get it for $1500 and it doesn't have any floor pan, trunk floor, or cowl rust problems, then you're probably getting a decent/fair deal. As you well know, '67-'68 fastbacks are in huge demand because of the combination Bullitt and Eleanor crazes. That said, unless you wanna build an Eleanor, then buying all the front sheet metal and related parts and engine/tranny stuff, it could be a lousy deal in the end. Complete cars are often better buys in the long run.

Hope this helps...

I would pay that! But I wont a fastback bad. But that’s just me if I had a fastback I would be looking for a coupe. There are times that I wish my car had no rust. I’m replacing the entire front suspension “ nothing wrong with it just wont to upgrade”. I’m changing the seats again “ nothing wrong with it just wont to upgrade”. I am going to change the trans “ nothing wrong with it just wont to upgrade”. I am already making plans to replace the recently rebuilt 289 with a stroked 351W. So on so on. See the pattern? I paid for those parts when I bought the car and now am removing them. Just my .02 cents.

Well, I'm gonna try anyway. I'll start lower and work up. The one in my sig is already mine and is complete (289, 3 on the floor). I might go with a fiberglass front if I can snag this one.

thanks

Dont wanna jack but whats a 68 rust free vert worth? Its got a worked 302 and big time currie rear, among other things- Body is ready for paint. Im thinkin I paid a little too much for mine. Wat would YOU pay?

You have a '67 Fastback and that you paid $1500 for, and you found ANOTHER one? Why can't I find a deal like that? :damnit: I'd have my '65 Coupe on the market the same day... :D (assuming I couldn't reason with my wife that having TWO old project cars was a perfectly reasonably idea...)
