How much for an inspection at an auto repair shop?

A question for all you car buffs out there. What type of vehicle inspections are available out there and how much do you pay for them? I just need an auto repair shop to give my 2002 GT a good, comprehensive inspection to make sure everything is working right. I don't have any special problems with the car. Thanks!

Glutton for punishment? Wanting a large repair bill when, as you say, you don't have any problems with the car? Your car will 'tell' you more than most mechanics can or will tell you about the condition of your car.
Have you had regular maintenance at Ford? have you had the brakes maintenanced yet (new pads, rotors turned)? How many miles?
I doubt you'll find anyone out here who takes there car in for an inspection to 'make sure everything is working right'.

Don't waste your time and money. Just look through your maintenance manual and make sure you are up to date with maintenance.
