how much for gear install

Is 700 for everything on a gear install for 98 gt alot. Anderson ford in clinton, IL quoted me at that. Also 210 for the first hour of dyno tuning an 125 for every one after that, is this sound ok. Was going to get 4.10 gears and dyno tuned, recently put in ported and polished npi heads, pi intake, pi cams, 75mm plenum, 75mm Tb, and bbk header with prochamber and flowmasters. Car is alot stronger but think its running little rich. Thanks for any input:SNSign:

$700 is awful high for a gear and bearing install. shop around some more. should be able to find around $400 - $500 for a gear and bearing kit install.

yeah - I paid 600 for gears, master bearing kit, diff rebuild kit and labor. Remember, just because the first price sounds high doesn't mean the next price is high. If they save $700 then pull out the "well I just got quoted at 550 from the Ford dealership and I wanted to call around and see what other estimates I could get". The worst they will say is no.

I paid $300 or $350 for a a gear install, bearing replacment, and t-lok rebuild.

I supplied all parts.

i didnt rebuild my t-lok, it works just fine.

as did mine - but might as well get it taken care of while the differential is open and the gears are out. axle upgrade isn't a bad idea either.
