How much should I expect to pay for a paint job (blue met) on a 91 GT Hatchback?

$5000 mint job - buffed and polished
$4000 good job - might be buffed and polished
$3000 - nice, but buff it yourself
$2000 - hopefully they added extra clear so you can buff it

I painted my car myself and looks great. dished out about 600 for everything. thats including gun, primer, sand paper, paint, buffer, misc stuff.
But i've seen some jobs out here in AZ they have costed 10K+ and they look awesome. just depends on how much your willing to spend "kdog" is pretty close though for pricing.

I'm in the same market, I'm just waiting until I find a good shop, I'm willing to spend about 2000, hopefully no more then that.

I"ll end up spending about 500. Taking Auto Body and Refinish at my local college. I've used all of the tools needed to do the body work at school and I'll also use their booth and paint guns.
I recently bought all the supplies to primer my car for only $120 using my schools shop prices.
I should pay about $200 for the rest of the material (Oxford white paint, sealer etc).

I found a paint booth to rent for a day for $50.00 and worked on a friends car, so he bought the paint and supplies. ($360.00 worth) Had a friend of mine help me paint it. Painted the rims while I was at it. Heres how it truned out.
