How Much Gear Oil To Use?

How much oil do you put in the differentials for our 99-04 GT's?

I'm going to go ahead and do some preventative maint. on my car.. gonna change the tranny and gear oil, but just wondering how much i'll need.

Yeah, the stuff smells horrid.. but it tastes even worse Long story

If you get someone to do your rear, tell them that

I just got my gears done at Ford, it's written onthe bottles "Contains Limited Slip Additive" but when I got my car back, I saw on the bill friction modifier.

So they put RP for me and added friction modifier with it, this shouldn't be a problem right?

Funny you should say that, 1 hour after picking my car up from Ford I went to the track right away. I just got 3.73 installed.

That night I've been cutting 2.0 60ft all night, something I rarely do I have to get used to shifting into 4th during the 1/4mile now.

As for the original question of this thread, just get 2 quarts of gear oil.

I used a little under 2 quarts for my '99. You will need over 2 if you have an aftermarket girdle. Good article for this on bullittarchive.com.
