I think after this winter im going to be somewhere around 600 whp on stock suspension and rear end. We will see how that goes.

street id say 350 na with another 150 on tab with the use of nitrous.
A toy for the track and weekend driving however would never be done I could see myself stopping with 1000hp and similar torque.

I had a chance to ride in a drag car simulator in Orlando, FL on spring break two years ago, man what a blast. 0-110 in right at 2.0 seconds. Anyways, I was told it was comparable speed to that of a top fuel drag car, so I guess I would like about 4500+ HP in my car just to I could wake up every day excited to go to work. Realistically speaking, I'm thinking right now that anything near 400 would be perfect, not so much that you can't stay out of trouble, but then plenty to really get you into trouble!

BTW... I thought I would add that the simulator was an actual moving car (two mod motor Mustang GT Bodies) powered by air. It was in an area called Old Town (or something like that) and right next to Disney. I would definitely recommend that place to anyone looking for a good time. They had a bike show the night I went as well, but I was told they alternate back and for car/bike once a week.

500hp/500 ft-lbs would be good. But it would need at least 300 ft-lbs at 2000 RPM (think Blowzilla )

A N/A mid-revving 331 with a bit more torque than hp. 340-350 rwhp, 350-370 rwtq, TKO or a T-56 in the tunnel.

Exactly.......

All you guys saying 450 and under are wayyyyy low. I have 460rwhp and i can hook fine on the street in first, hook on the track awesome, and it DOES get old. I could see 600-700 being enough for a while, cause then you would really have traction problems to solve.

I'd be happy with a 350-400WHP since I am in school, but after that and I get a good job, I'm DEFINATELY going for a 600-800WHP windsor, the ExTerminator, I will beat-up on the "all powerful 03 Cobra" and the like.
