You're right, I'm just "assuming" it's got structural rust issues by the fact that it's sitting outside in the elements successfully pretending to be a planter. Being from CT I'm probably unfairly negatively tainted. I really know nothing about the lifespan of a car sitting outside in OK. You being from TX probably have a better instinct in this area.bnickel said:i believe he said earlier that the floors looked good.

The floors will "oil can" if they are getting thin. Step on them, don't just look at them. First they get thinner and thinner before they rot all the way through.
Look at edges and corners underneath. IIRC there isn't much aftermarket for the later big Mustangs, so it will be annoying to try to find any replacement metal. Take your time and bring a good light and maybe a blanket or old clothes. This is the worst time to hurry at all.
I hope that helps. I've made some hasty decisions because I got enfatuated with cars. I'd hate to see you do it.
