Its worth what ever some one will pay but this is a low end car.
Just judging from the pictures 6,000 - 8,000 If the paint and stuff is truely original never been touched since new Not just the same color as it was then
Maybe you could see the higher end money .

look here

For a real Idea look on EBAY

Now convert it to a V-8 Shelby clone and for now it gets more then original.

Car worth

I don't know where you guys are shopping - but I want to come along. If the car is rust free and clean (hard to tell - everything looks better in a photo) I would estimate around 10-12.

I have been looking at mustangs in Texas, Virginia and the North East over the last 10 years and the majority of convertibles are rust and accident repaired (mostly junk) and they sell quickly for a minimum of 10K. I would estimate that I have looked at 200 cars during that period and have found very few good deals. I would love to find a nice, clean restored 6cyl. convertible for that price range - but have never seen it.

If I could buy a car like that for 7K - I would spend an additional 10K on suspension and engine mods and have a killer custom.............

6-8K for a convertible?????
Geez, I need to come shopping in your neighborhood. In my area you won't find a convertible for less than about 11K, and that's for an ugly one...even an ugly six cylinder. ONce they are fixed up, they are 15K plus, and it's not uncommon to see them stickered in the mid-20s. However, a few months ago there was a rough 68 vert w/289 that was up for sale for 10K...for about five seconds, then it sold. I talked to a guy who had a decent (but rusty and worn) 68 coupe, and that sold for 9500 (he was asking 10K) I think.

HOld onto your vert, man!

Probably 8-9k, just because its a convertible in such nice shape- but even so, the I6 brings the value down a bit. Id defiently say over 6-7k, as convertibles are worth a pretty penny.
