will victor jr. heads stock with 2.055 intake valves be too much on a 306 with forged flattop pistons flycut, and a gt 40 intake.....or can i make decent horsepower also thinking of running an x or b cam and tremec 3550 tranny?

You will lose bottom end (torque) but gain up top (HP) A power adder will spice your combo up a bit. As to say they're too much...nah...I don't think so. But without some sort of power adder (or lots of compression) the big valves will definately hurt you down low..
