HOW MUCH POWER WILL STRANGE S-CASE HANDLE?

OK MAYBE I SHOULD NOT ASSUME THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE ON HERE THAT KNOW WHAT A STRANGE S-CASE IS. I THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE ON HERE ACTUALLY WORKED ON THIER VEHICLE AND MAYBE CHANGED THE 9 INCH CENTER SECTION OVER TO A STRANGE S -CASE. HEY MAYBE I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS EVER BROKEN THIER REAREND BY BLOWING THE CARRIER CAPS INTO DUST BY APPLYING TOO MUCH POWER. SO I WILL ASK AGAIN DOES ANYONE KNOW HAW MUCH POWER THE STRANGE S-CASE WILL HANDLE.

How much power are you making now? Can we see pics of the carnage?
What is it going into? Strip only car or street car?

sounds like a personel problem

have you tried talking to Strange im sure they would know ...
 
Also, what motor, small block or big block? Auto or Manual? What kind of times are you running? Are you spraying it? Most times I've seen the U-joint fail before the case fails. What kind of case were you running, the old weak grey iron case? A Nodular case might work fine. I think we're just looking for more info.
 
IT'S A COMP C-4 AND THE U-JOINT AND DRIVESHAFT DID FAIL AT THE SAME TIME. IT TWISTED THE SHAFT AND BROKE THE YOKE OFF THE SHAFT AND DESTROYED THE U-JOINT. DIDN'T HARM THE 28 SPLINE STOCK AXLES BUT DESTROYED EVERYTHING ELSE. IT WAS A STANDARD 31 SPLINE CASE.

Well, I was running a 289 at 11.08@119 N/A in a 3000# car with a Jerico. It's now in a different car with better heads (Canfield vs. '69 351W's) but a poorer induction (Victor Jr. w/ Pro Systems 830DP vs. Offy 360 T-ram w/ dual 660's) and a C4 at 3200#. The first car has a iron M/W Case, the second doesn't even have a nodular case. I suspect a Nodular case will be fine, but I spent $125 at a swap meet for a nodular case with billet caps and that Strange S case is only $229. How much do you plan to upgrade in the future? I'd buy for that contingency.

Moser or Strange Axles? Either one would be fine. What RPM are you crossing the line at? What tranny are you running? We had 30x9 slicks
on the first car with a 5.67 gear. Launch at 6400 and shift at 8000.
Crossed the line at 8000 also. But that's where the roller cam liked it.
