How much power with c-heads

They will fit. But there are some issues. The Ford Racing catalog used to have instructions on the how to.

The probem is that these heads shift the power band too high for street driving. With the Boss 302 it was almost too high for racing. It just depends on what you are looking for. There are some variations in the runner volumes/sizes if I remember right, so the degree of rpm shift could vary a little.

That's what I remember.

when it is all said and done, a set of afr or twisted wedge heads would be cheaper (even if the clevland heads were free!) and will make more torque, and hp.

it's an older trick, aftermarket windsor heads did not exist way back when, and the stock crap was, well........crap. 2v clevland heads flow a good bit better than gt40 irons, in some places.........and in other lift ranges, alot worse.

I would just loooove to get my hands on a set of 4v heads, but I`m afraid that the freightcosts from Oklahoma to sweden will be higher than the price of a brand new set of performance alu-heads :D But thanks for the offer!!
The thing is that I`m already in possesion of a set of 2V heads, I`m just wondering if I would gain an amount of power, that make it worth the effort to try to make it work.

yes a big gain they flow well with or with out a port job i believe edelbrock has a new intake for the cleavor swap since they have introduced the new alm cleveland head the 2v heads are open chamber so to keep ur compression up u might need pop up with good ports for great low end. The 4v used quench chambers and giant ports = no low end torque but tremendous high end but the best cleveland head is the aussie version it has the 2v ports and the quench chambers for an almost unbeatable combo for the low dollar amount also i think bush racing had an intake for this conversion. my auto mechanics teacher had a four wheel drive ranger with 347 stroker with clevand head and a x303 cam it was extremely fast and it had an open rear end w/3.00 gears i know it was faster than a wrx sti since i have driven both
