Hey Guy's

So tell me what to expect from my set up.

DSS short block .40 over 10.1 compression n/a
Stock heads ported and polished
Edelbrock performer rpm intake
Paxton 10lb supercharger
36lb injectors
Long tube headers
And all the litlle bolt on.

I know I need a chip but a local shop around here does dyno tunning and burn chips onsite.

You all seem pretty damn good at guessing this stuff...not to hijack but whats your estimation on my signature below?

My guess is around 475-490 at the crank...so what 415ish at the wheels?

Are those AFR 185 or 165 heads? 475-490 hp from the crank of an N/A 302 is asking a lot. I'm gonna have to guess around 350-380 rwhp.

Hmm, I am unsure. I think I may have a little more than that. 03 cobras are what like 390 at the crank? I have raced 3 of them and put over a car length on them.

I guess I will just have to dyno them.

Not for nothing, but a '91 LX with the listed mod's has no chance against a stock LS1. Unless there's something wrong with that particular LS1.

He was implying that the guy in the LS1 couldn't drive worth crap. I too have seen LS1's at the track hit high 13's...it's not uncommon. He was basically making a point that just because he can beat or did beat that car in the race doesn't mean his car is faster.....it means he's a better driver.

If the creator of this post car doesnt make more than 330rwhp, he should sell it. It should be closer to the 370-390rwhp range SAE.

I'm not sure i'd run 10:1 compression and 10lbs of boost. Your deffinetly going to have to get that thing professionally tuned and even then it'll prolly be a lil high.

When people say "ported and polished" stock heads......how do we tell how much they've been ported? It could be a little bit or it could be totally professionally done to get every last bit of flow out of them....I'm guessing most "PP'd" heads out there aren't fully maxed out.....so it makes quite the variable.
