How much should I expect to pay for spring install

I put the ones on my '00 myself so I don't know for sure. I would guess if the shop charged by the hour @ say $60/hour for 2-3 hours MAYBE...don't quote me, but it could get you in the ball park. If you have any hand tool experience and a place to do it, it's not a difficult task...it may take several hours for a first timer, BUT you have the chance to get intimate with your baby:rolleyes: Plus it may make you feel more confident for bigger and better things down the road.

I paid $365.95 total.

Install Vogtland springs.
Alignment.
They had to grind the strut slots to set the camber correctly.

I immediately noticed a harsher ride but got used to it just as fast. Looks great squatted down 1.5 in!

how much mechanical experience do you have? if just the spring compressing scares you, you can take the front struts off and have a shop swap the springs off of the car. the rears come out with no compressor necessary. a shop should charge you less than a half hour labor for the spring swap.

the only special tool needed is the compressor, so if you have any experience, and basic tools you can do this job yourself.

if you dont have much expericence, or dont want to do it yourself get a few quotes fromk different shops. the prices should all be close.

Thanks for the input. I'll get intimate w/a few mods, but springs just aren't one of them. I did a stereo and axle back install over the weekend. That's about as complex as I like to get mechanically. Per UPS website, my SCT tuner and intake should be here Wednesday, so I'll finally be able to put my O/R h-pipe on.

Radman, I hope $365 included the price of the springs too.
