I have a vaccum gauge and I want to check for any leaks, What HG of vac should I have at idle? What should it be with stock cam and what should it be with a E cam?.

I went out and tested the vac from the manifold and from the black tree, Im only getting 15-16 Hg at idle, is this normal? Do I have a vac leak?

There is no clear cut answer for vac at idle. It will depend completely on the combination. An e-cam in a stock Heads/intake car will pull a different amount of vacuum than a full on HCI setup. I run the steeda # 18 cam which is similar to the E-cam...and i pull about 15" at idle as well. No vac leaks.
It will also largely depend on the idle speed. When my car was idling at 950 rpm it pulled 16-17 and now that it idles at 750 it only pulls about 15. good luck man
