How much will a new bumper cost in total?

Well, through a fine piece of driving on my part I landed my stang in a ditch last night...thought everything was fine but this morning I noticed the bottom right half of my bumper is trashed...I've seen GT bumpers on ebay for around 100 bucks but how much will paint/install be?

Are we talking about the front or rear? I just replaced the rear bumper cover on my Mach 1 (same as a GT), and figure at least $500 after paint and install. I installed mine with the help of some friends in my garage in about an hour. If it's the front, could be a little more involved due to fog lights, etc., and may even be a little more expensive. Have you looked at http://www.bumpers.com ? they sometimes sell take-offs, which will save you the expense of painting.

I have seen a few site online that seel used mustang parts.Do a google search and you can find one for yourself because I can't think of one right off the top of my head right now.I know that they may have one in the color you need.So that will save you a ton in paint and labor charges.

if it is the front bumper you can get a 2000 cobra r one for $300 at

I had a lady back into me a couple months ago and scratched up the front bumper really good.

I looked at the Cobra and getting new bumper. instead, I had a body shop fix the bumper (did a great job) and repaint the whole thing for $300.

Insurance gave me $700.

I did find a place that sold pre painted bumpers albeit with some minor scratches for $299. www.bumpers.com

I took of the bumper and took it to body shop and picked it up and put it back on. piece of cake. with the extra cash, I threw on a mach 1 chin spoiler and while the bumper was off, fastened my grill delete with screws.
