How much do you think a set(4) of bullit wheels with the original tires are worth? I'm going to throw them on the front lawn for sale and was wondering what I should ask for. They only have 8000 miles on them. The tires are perfect and the wheels have a couple very minor scrapes on the lip. They look brand new inside and out. I am not trying to sell them here I only want a price range. thanks

These came off your '02?

If so, the tires are probably 6 years old and recommended they be scrapped...of course nobody ever checks tire date codes

I'd say $300-400. Those wheels can be bought new from Ford Racing for $100 each now

No, they are not chrome. They have the polished alloy with the mineral grey spokes. I think that year every mustang with bullits came with the exact same color.

I never knew about the date code. The tires still have the little nipples on the outside and there is not a crack in them.

Not many people do. The industry is trying to educate people on the subject...slowly. Rubber deteriorates even if it sits in storage. The failure is usually heat much like the Firestone fiasco. Ford's official stance on their vehicles is that every tire 6 years or older should be replaced.

bookofjoe: Should tires have an expiration date?

Like i said, whoever buys them prob won't check the date codes anyway.
