I'm just about to put on my home made CAI but wanted to know if I should buy the K&N cleaning kit and clean the filter? It's been in the car for about 12,000 miles so far. I physically cleaned it off by hand and it did not seem too dirty. What's the recommended time for cleaning it?
I thought I heard 50,000 miles. I know it's a dumb question but I did not want to put the CAI together and then take it apart to clean the filter soon. Thanks for the replys.
