Kid...I was working on cars when you were still in diapers so don't pretend to tell me i wouldn't know what to do about your problem unless i had the advice of wannabe street racers like you on this site. There are many guys and gals here who know alot about stangs but at i am sure they know better than to take a heavily modified engine to ford and expect them to fix something on it under warranty.... I bet they laughed harder than i did.

First, just remeber you were the one that started the bashing in the first place. I asked a question in the original post and all you did was try to insult me by saying I was an idiot for modding a car under warranty. Second, what makes you think I am a kid? I assure you I am not new to cars and I have been driving and working on them for many, many years. The only wannabe is you since you didn't even answer the original question to begin with. You just read all of the other answers and now you think you are some kind of ASE god. Lastly, in the state of Florida no warranty is voided unless the auto maker can prove that any mods directly caused the failure. Which my supercharger did not cause the plug to strip the head. I could fight this and WIN against Ford but, I wish to have my car back and it is only going to cost $150, and yes I can afford it. I guess you cannot from an earlier post of yours and this must explain why you are so bitter, otherwise you would post things to try and help people not to bash them. Have a nice day

Well, I don't know about fighting this one.........Ford's argument would say stuffing boost into the cylinder caused the plug to blow out.

My brother is a service manager for Ford in Iowa and he seems to think I can win the argument. It would just take a long time to get any results.

if they didnt blame the thread failure on the sc they could also go with the excuse they gave me, "a piece of carbon fell off and knock the plug out"

Listen.....This is what happens when you try to put too much performance on a stock engine.....basicly...you are screwed!!!! Not only will Ford not fix this under warranty but they will probably never fix anything on your car under warranty due to the mods you did. If you are going to build a race car then start with a race engine.....not something off a showroom floor. At least wait for the car to be out of warranty before you even think about doing heavy duty mods....... Best of luck to ya. I hope other stangers learn from this.....YES, It can happen to you too!!!!!

Hey this happen to STOCK Ford Lightnings a lot, is something that can happen to everyone. Hey if you don't like modding your car, then why the hell are you here.

I'm fairly new to this group. This may be off-topic, but is there anything you can do to a car still under warranty that won't void the warranty? My 2004 GT has only 1000 miles on it, but I can't wait to start playing with it. My guess is that it depends on the dealer and how strict they want to be.

Personally....I would stick with mild things like a new shifter, mufflers/exhaust (not off road), put in a cold air induction kit, some body enhancements like a mach 1 grille delete or a different hood. I would stay away from things like superchargers, u/d pulleys, bigger MAF's and plenums, lowering kits etc. It does also depend on your dealer. I have done only a couple of things to mine and i have no problems with the dealer, do something on the extreme side and you will get boned!!!!

What are you guys so worried about with the dealer? Are your cars really that unreliable or do you just have nothing to do and like to hang out there?

I bought mine on 1/4/03 and haven't been back since

I would rather not go to the dealer ever again. My stang has really been reliable other than the whole cylinder head situation, so I have been quite pleased. Got the car back by the way and it runs awesome. Oh, check out the link MustshameLife is still trying to prove something.
