How should I fix this? (New Valve Covers) *DUW Pics*

Breadfan, I have a question: Can you get at the hole in the driver's side VC? I want to know if it's even accessible, or if the upper intake blocks it off. Thanks.

It is not accessible for me. Perhaps if I didn't have AC and used something other than a breather, I might be able to. It also may be accessible with different Intakes. (I have TFS)

So you put your oil in through the hole in the passenger side VC right? If you have a MAF system, I guess you're not supposed to have a breather on the VCs, because it lets more air in than is metered. I'll probably just put a cap on the driver's side and then put a breather with an attachment for the hose from the TB on the pass. side. That way I can just remove it to add oil, and still have the hose connected.

Your Trick Flow intake runners must be a little shorter than the gt40. I didn't have any clearance issues with mine. It was tight though, about 1/8 inch clearance. I am getting ready to install a Bennett intake, hope it clears. If not I'll just modify the bracket like you guys did.

Get a hack saw and notch the bracket. Very easy. You could get another intake spacer too. I used a 3/8 and a 1 inch on my gt-40 for my tall covers. But if you don't want to do that just get a hack saw and start cutting.

The piece of the bracket that faces the passenger side where throttle cable go's through ( Just to the left of the cable) Cut that piece off and bend the bracket in towards the intake a little so it will clear.

Send those pics to [email protected] and I will do a little drawing for you if you have'nt already figured it out.

Well I took the piece to work today and had one of the guys that work in our Metal shop cut it for me and now it fits.

It is touching just barely so I'll be doing an little filing on it, but other than that it's fine. Thanks for all of the input guys, I appreciate it. :)
